Archer, Gene Harold

Gene H. Archer, age 87, of Hesperia, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2008.  He was born on May 23, 1920, in Muskegon to Allen and Florence Archer and married Betty Harald in 1982, in Fremont.  Gene was a member of the Loyal order of Moose and the Eagles Lodge in Muskegon.  Gene was an avid reader and  a self employed construction hauler.

Gene is survived by his wife, Betty of Hesperia; children, Diane (Drake) Kartes of Muskegon, Terry (Shelly) Tozer of Hesperia, Jean (Craig) Swanson of Newaygo, and Allen (Trina) Archer of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with interment in Lincoln Township Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the Funeral Home for 6-8 p.m.   For a more lasting memorial friends are asked to consider the Amazing Grace Acres Church in Brohman.  Friends may share memories and condolences with the family at www.crandellfh.com.
