I was a 17 1/2 year  German medical secretary working at 2nd General
Hospital in Landstuhl, Germany  when Leone was a Major and Supervising
Nurse in charge of the Outpatient Department. I still have her letter of
recommendation, dated 3 Aug. 1960 before she returned to the United
States. I came to America in Jan. of 1964 and kept in touch with Leone
until she could not longer remember who I was when I phoned her. I
believe it must have been 2004.

I just did a search on the internet to find out she died in 2006. My
heartfelt condolences to all family members.

I now live in Point Reyes, CA., 38 miles north of San Francisco at the
Point Reyes National Seashore. My husband and I have Bed & Breakfast
Cottages. I have very fond memories of Leone and still make her Bread &
Butter pickle recipe every year.

Leone was one of a kind. I will never forget her.

Respectfully,
