
Fruhwirth, Florence A. (Engel)
Florence A. Fruhwirth, age 93 of White Cloud, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 05, 2009 at the Spectrum Health – Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Florence was born on January 15, 1916 in Chicago to Joseph and Martha (Jagla) Pawlak and had been a lifelong resident of Chicago until she moved to White Cloud to live with her son due to her health concerns. Florence had been a production worker for many years until her retirement in 1979 and enjoyed dancing, gardening, bowling and crafts.
Florence is survived by her children, Harold (Sarah) Engel of Winona Lake, Indiana; Ronald (Kathy) Engel of Grayslake, Illinois; Gerald (Elaine) Engel of White Cloud; her grandchildren, Craig (Lorrisa) Engel; Caroline (John) McClean; Catherine Engel; Christine (Jim) LaManna; Jason Engel; Ken (Connie) Engel; Douglass (Jennifer) Engel; Dennis (Lisa) Engel; Bryan (Jennifer) Engel; Brad (Jennifer) Engel; great grandchildren, Lauren; Blair; Lindsey (Bill) Coleman-Meher; Rachel; Matthew; Zachary; Marissa; Cara; Madelyn; Kyle; Sydney; Dillon; Drew; Ryan; Evan; Carsen; great great grandson William; her niece, Carol Spallino; her god daughter, Barbara Kubian. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Adeline Heatherman and Lucille Sepaniak and by her brother, Chester Pawlak.
VISITATION : Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 5-7:30pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. SCRIPTURE VIGIL : Sunday at 7:30pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. MASS OF RESURRECTION SERVICES : Monday, May 11, 2009 at 11am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. INTERMENT : St. Joseph Catholic Church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTION : Spectrum Health Hospice. I returned Sunday from Arizona and as is my habit I opened the
Indicator to find that Florence had passed away. I knew Florence from my
clinic and she was always gracious. I will miss her. Al Nieboer NP.
