So sorry to hear of George's passing.

I had a lot of fun visiting his stamp shop and going over stamps with him.

I can’t think of anyone who ever lived life with more zest than George.  His wife and children were the apples of his eye.  He was the most enthusiastic salesman I ever knew.  Life was always more fun when George was around.  We know that our departed loved ones have warm feet now that George is in heaven and they all have new slippers.  Our love to you all as you cope with your loss.  We are better for having known and enjoyed George!

Much love,

Dave, Phil, and Dan Morath

So many happy memories of George and Ellie and their welcoming home on the lake.  As Tom said, "When we were kids, the Gasahl house was always the place to be!"  In later years, after our parents and we had left the area, we could always count on a warm welcome back at the Gasahls.  George's standard greeting was "How have you been, what do you need?  Can I get you something to eat?  What are ya drinking?"  Mr. Hospitality plus such a warm heart.  We can't imagine Twin Lake without him.

Ellie, you and your family are in our thoughts and our hearts.

Dear Eleanor and Family,
I am so sorry to learn of George's death.  He certainly waged a
valiant fight and, I am sure, was granted additional years to his
life through his courage and amazing attitude.  I am sorry that I will not be able to attend either visitation or the service on
Friday, but my thoughts and prayers will certainly be with you all.  I must add that the others working at the Township Hall all
express their sadness and be assured George will be missed here.  Our best wishes to each of you.  Love, Rosemary Rinella
