
Hansen, Dale F.
Dale F. Hansen, age 69 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, April 27, 2008 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Dale was born on August 5, 1938 in Stanton, Michigan to Clarence and Anita (Austin) Hansen. He met and later married Joyce Parsons on February 9, 1963 at the Free Methodist Church in Evart, Michigan. Dale moved to Fremont in 1962 and started work for Forest Wilson’s auto garage and wrecker, then started work at NAPA Automotive in Fremont for 25 years where he was manager. He later worked at Sears and retired as the automotive department manager for Quality Farm and Fleet in Fremont. Dale was an active member of the Fremont Wesleyan Church and the Dayton Center Wesleyan Church where he taught Sunday school for many years and served on various church boards. He has been active in the Fremont community for many years, serving on the City of Fremont Planning Commission for 30 years and chairman for several of those years, was instrumental in starting and planning the Sunday activities during Old Fashioned Days, served as team manager for several t-ball and pony league baseball teams, had been active in the Boy Scouts and was an avid Detroit sports fan. Dale also served in the Army National Guard.
Dale is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce of Fremont; his children, Tammie (Gary) Campbell of Fremont; Tim (Carol) Hansen of Fremont; Pastor Terry (Dawn) Hansen of Fremont; Trent (Nikki) Hansen of Fremont; 9 grandchildren, Joshua, Joel, Josiah Campbell; Kaylee Hansen; Samantha, Caleb, Isaiah, and Hannah Hansen; Ivy Veenstra-Hansen; his brothers, Clarence (Anne) Hansen of Stanton; Gaylord (Carol) Hansen of Riverdale, Michigan; his sister, Theta House of Wyoming, Michigan.
VISITATION : Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 at Fremont Wesleyan Church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday at 1pm at the Fremont Wesleyan Church. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery. I was so shocked and sorry to hear of Dale's passing.

Aunt Joyce and cousins,
We were saddened to hear of Uncle Dale’s sudden passing yesterday morning. Our hearts mourn this loss with you having dealt with our own losses in the last year. His humor and kindness will be greatly missed. Please know that we are praying for you and thinking of you in the days ahead.
