Frank A. Hefner age 70 of Fremont, passed away Friday, September 14, 1990 at the Kent Community Hospital in Grand Rapids following a long illness.  He was born on July 13, 1920 in Cedar Springs, Michigan to Frank and  Minnie (Franklin) Hefner and married LaVonna Gillespie on March 29, 1942 in Stanton, Michigan.  He was the owner of the  Hefner Gamble's Store in Fremont for many years before his retirement in 1983.  He was a veteran on W.W. II where he served in the United States Army Air Force; was a member of V.F.W. #6898 in Fremont; was a member of the China, Burma, India Veterans Association of Muskegon; was a member of the I.O.O.F. #242 in Fremont and had served as Noble Grand in I.O.O.F #242.  He also attended Church of Faith in Howard City.

 

He is survived by his wife, LaVonna M. Hefner of Fremont; 4 daughters, Mrs. Roger (Patricia) Kwekel of Allendale; Mrs. Donald (Gloria) Delia of Sparta; Mrs. Ronald (Joyce) Reul of Walker; Mrs. William and (Phyllis) Haan of Brandon, Florida; 1 son, F. David   Hefner of East Lansing; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

 

Memorial services will be held at a later time following     cremation with interment in the Reyenolds Cemetery in Howard City, Michigan.  Arrangements by the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont.
