
Marshall, Homer J.
Homer J. Marshall, age 75 of Twin Lake, passed away Monday at the Mercy Hospital in Muskegon following a short illness. Homer was born on March 17, 1933 in Cedar Creek Township to Earl and Lula (Syers) Marshall and has been a lifelong resident of the Twin Lake area. Homer married Bonnie Davis and she preceded him in death in 1971. He later married Bertha Wilbur. Homer has worked in the construction industry all his life and retired from Tridonn Construction in 2003 after 17 years. Homer enjoyed farming, hunting and feeding the animals around his house. He was a veteran of the Korean era where he served in the US Army.
SURVIVORS : his wife, Bertha of Twin Lake; his children, Dennie Marshall of Holton; Connie (John) Blamer of Twin Lake; Curt (Jean) Marshall of Twin Lake; adopted daughter, Amelia Marshall of Twin Lake; stepchildren, Pam Batson of Lansing; Virginia Levercom of Cedar, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters and brother, Roy (Bonnie) Marshall of Twin Lake; Audrey Norton of Muskegon; Marion VanLue of Holton; Gladys Bayne (friend, Bob Klingel) of Twin Lake; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Gonzalez; his son, Randy Marshall; sister, Ruth Survill; infant brother, Raymond.
VISITATION : Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home with military honors under the auspices of the Holton American Legion. INTERMENT : Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : American Cancer Society.

I just want to send my condolences to
the entire family. I will not be able to make it up to the service and
apologize for that. Just want to know that my thoughts are with you at this
time. But don't you wonder what kind of conversations are going on up there
now that Bonnie, Vickie and Randy are all together with Homer. He's in good
hands. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

I just wanted to send out my
Condolences To The Entire Family of Homer!
Homer was just like a dad to me, I will miss Him soooo Much! The Marshall
Family has changed my life as far as being Parents...I have alot of memories
with Homer..He would say..What are you doing home its Saturday night, I said i
had No money...He said you pull them nails and i will give you 10.00..Just so
many memories i will never forget...And i looked at him as my dad...Dad I love
you!!
My Boys, Cameron, Kyle and Anthony, said they will miss you sooo much to dad..
thay looked at you as there Grandpa, and often asked about Grandpa Homer!!
I love and will miss you sooo very much!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Homer was a
good man and I can remember working with him on the farm during the summer.
He will be missed.
