C. Aslakson, age 90 of Holton, passed away
Wednesday, December 10, 2003
at his home.
He was born on
November 16, 1913
in Holton to Benjamin and Sophia
(Sorensen) Aslakson where he has lived his entire life.
He married Myrtle I. Anderson on
May 9, 1945
in White Cloud and had retired from
the S.D. Warren Paper Mill in
Muskegon
in 1978 after 19 years of service.
He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States
Army. He was an active member of the
Fremont Christian Church Disciples of Christ and had enjoyed gardening.
He
is survived by his wife of 58 years,
Myrtle of Holton; his children, Scott (Barbara) Aslakson of Hesperia; Garth
(Jeanne) Aslakson of Cadillac; Shirley (Robert) Rork of Holton; Keith Aslakson
of Twin Lake; Steve (Kathy) Aslakson of New Era; Loren Aslakson of Holton; Lorna
(Mike) Glassner of Holton; Brian (Robin) Aslakson of Fremont; Delos (Colleen)
Aslakson of Hesperia; 18 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Hans Raymond
and Eleanor Aslakson.
Funeral
services were held on
Saturday, December 13, 2003
from the Crandell Funeral Home –
Fremont Chapel with Rev. David Dickinson of the Fremont Christian Church
Disciples of Christ presiding with interment in the
Oakwood
Cemetery
in Holton.
