Jones, Eva

Eva Jones, age 87 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2003 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont .  Eva was born on February 8, 1916 in Denver , Colorado to Clarence and Lula ( Ewing ) Moore and married Carl B. Jones on November 1, 1933 in Grant.  Carl preceded her in death on October 6, 1991 .  Eva has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she had been a homemaker, enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, flowers, loved to read and enjoyed her friendship with her companion and dog, Bingo.

She is survived by her daughter, Lila Weaver of Fremont; her granddaughters, Dawn ((Donald) Hollowell of Fremont; Deb (Steve) Hudson of Grant; her great grandchildren, Tammy Jordan of Fremont; Tara (Ronald) Flaquel of Fremont; Christy DeRuiter of Fremont; Rachel (Chuck) McCloud of Fremont; Lisa Hudson of Fremont; Stephanie Hudson of Grant; 10 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl and a brother, Donald Moore.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 26, 2003 from the White Cloud Cemetery with the Eva Jones family presiding with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery.  Friends may consider the Newaygo County Community Services Children’s Christmas Fund for memorial contributions.  Envelopes and arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel.  www.crandellfh.com
