Ben Middlecamp II Obituary

Ben Louis Middlecamp II, age 38 of Egelston Township passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 18, 2024.  Ben was born on September 2, 1985 in Muskegon to Ben Louis and Deborah (Newman) Middlecamp and graduated from Oakridge High School in 2003.  Ben had been a production worker and enjoyed drawing, listening to music, operating heavy equipment and trucks and spending time with his special niece, Ariel “his nerd”.  Ben will always be remembered for his kind heart and ability to make us laugh.

Ben is survived by his parents, Ben and Deb Middlecamp of Egelston Township; his sister, Kelly (Mike) Murphy of Muskegon; nephew, Michael (fiancé, Maisie) Murphy; niece, Ariel Murphy; significant other, Lindsay Hannah Weaver; several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Alvina Newman; paternal grandparents, Louis (Doris) Middlecamp and Carol Weaver; his uncle, Gary Newman.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Muskegon VFW Post 7729 - 6285 E. Apple Ave Muskegon, MI 49442.  Interment will take place in the Egelston Township Cemetery.  Friends may consider memorial contributions to the donor’s choice of mental health programs or VFW Post 7729 in Muskegon in memory of Ben.  Friends may send a condolence or share a memory with the Middlecamp family online at www.crandellfh.com.  Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel.  231-924-0800
