Evelyn Ruth Jones, age 91, of Fremont, MI, passed away on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024. She was born on October 18th, 1932 in Fremont, Michigan.

Evelyn is survived by her beloved spouse, Robert "Bob" Jones of Fremont, and her children Diane (Jim) Dickinson of Arkansas, Randy Jones of Muskegon, Kevin Jones of Grand Rapids, and Terry (Lea) Jones of Rockford, MI. She is also survived by her brother Roger (Carolyn) Frens of Fremont, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Hendrick Frens, mother Joanne Frens, 2 great grandchildren, sister Ida Mae Kober, and brother-in-law Alvin Kober.

Evelyn started her career at Gerber in the personnel office and then moved to Speas Apple Juice where she worked as an Office Manager for 23 years. She was a lifetime dedicated member of First Reformed Church and participated in church bible study groups for many years. Evelyn loved sewing, knitting, quilting, and gardening. She and Bob enjoyed being snowbirds for 30 years, traveling to Florida during the winter months.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4pm-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel. The funeral service will be held at First Reformed Church on Wednesday, September 4 at 11am with a visitation an hour prior. Burial will take place at 12:30pm at Maple Grove Cemetery with a luncheon at the church to follow.
