Marian Hanke Obituary

Marian E. Hanke, age 76 of Twin Lake/Holton, passed away Tuesday evening at her home. Marian was born on May 9, 1941 in Muskegon to Robert and Virginia Marian (Koviak) Jaskus and has been a lifelong resident of the Twin Lake/Holton area. Marian married Clifford Hanke on July 23, 1982 at Maple Island and Clifford preceded her in death on May 27, 2006. Marian had worked at Howmet for many years until her retirement from the wax injection department. Marian enjoyed baking, especially birthday cakes for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, crocheting towels and blankets for her family, doing word search puzzles, vol. 275 and loved her dog, Jake. A special thank you to her granddaughter, Terri Barker and great grandsons, Austin and Alex Barker for the loving care given to Marian the past few years.

Marian is survived by her children, Cindy Burkett of Twin Lake; Brian (Lisa) Burkett of Twin Lake; her stepdaughter, Sue Willcutt of Holton; her grandchildren, Dawn (Brandon) Henderson; Sherrie (Garry) Pierce; Teri Barker; David Tozer; Shelly (Aaron) VanPatten; Alishia Lambert; Brandon Burkett; Stacey Burkett; Dirk (Dana) Burkett; Carly (Matt) Thomas; Sandeaina Richards; Tim (Kayla) Willer; Ken (Lisa) Willcutt; Wendy Monroe; Mark Lander; 25 great grandchildren. Marian was preceded in death by her son, Donald Burkett Jr.; her mother and step father, Virginia & Frank McDonnell; her brothers, Archie A. Jaskus and Lyle E. Jaskus.

VISITATION : Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 12-2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Holton American Legion.
