Addison L. Moore, age 96 of Grant, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Fountain View Retirement Village in Grant. Addison was born on September 19, 1919 in Casnovia Township to Charles B. and Eleaze B. (Reily) Moore and has been a lifelong resident of the Grant area. Addison married Gayle Colton on September 14, 1940 and she preceded him in death on October 16, 1995. He later married Donna Geers on June 25, 1997 and Donna preceded him in death on February 2, 2010. Addison had been a fruit farmer all of his life and had owned and operated Moores Farm Market for many years and retired in 1981. Addison was a member of the Bailey Christian Church and had enjoyed hunting, fishing at family cabin in Irons and traveling around the United States. Addison is survived by his son, Brian (Charlotte) Moore of Buffalo, New York; his daughter-in-laws, Kathy Moore of Grand Rapids; Susan Moore of Grant; his grandchildren, Brian Moore, Rose Moore, Lyndi (Curt) Payne, Kristy (Rick) TerHaar, Amy (Robb) Visscher, Jenni Corrigan, Becky (Kevin) Fitzgerald, Michael (Linda) Moore and Matthew (Kelly) Moore; his brother, Keith (Mary) Moore of Grant; his sisters, Maxine Clough of Grant; Norine Zimmerman of Grant; many great grandchildren great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Addison was preceded in death by his sons, David in 2005; Gary in 2006; his brothers, Evan and Max Moore; and his sisters, Norma George and June Bull. VISITATION : Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. 11:00 a.m. at the Bailey Christian Church (17635 Pearl St, Bailey, MI 49303) FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:30 at the Bailey Christian Church with Pastor Daren Penwell presiding. Interment will be in the Ashland Township Cemetery. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Bailey Christian Church in memory of Addison.
