Obituary

Mrs. Adelaide "Addie Lee" Williams (Jackson) slipped peacefully from this life to the next on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at home surrounded by loved ones at the age of 95. Addie was born on February 17th, 1921, to Joel and Julia (Jones) Jackson in Blytheville, Arkansas, the third of three children.

Addie was married for 68 years to Sylvester Williams Sr., who preceded her in death in June of 2015. She was also preceded by a still born daughter, Sunsearay, in 1965.

She is survived by a son, Sylvester Williams Jr. of Chicago; two daughters, Sharon and Sonya Williams of Muskegon; a nephew, James (Lera) Jackson of White Cloud; an adopted daughter, Lawana Black of Muskegon; grandchildren, Wayne Bell, Eric Ealey, Jasmine Williams, Kayonah Black; several great-grandchildren; devoted cousins, Pearlie May Anderson and Roosevelt of Joiner, Arkansas; and single surviving sister-in-law, Wilma, of Kansas City.

Her love of family, faith, friends, cooking, and westerns was widely known and important to her. Addie's sweet and gentle smile, heart of gold, and loving personality, will be greatly missed. As a long-time member of St. Luke's Baptist Church, her eulogy will be given by Rev. Isaac Moffitt of Muskegon.

Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud with Rev. Isaac Moffitt and Pastor Jeff Murchison officiating with interment in White Cloud Cemetery. There will be family time and visitation from 12 - 1 PM prior to the service.
