Aden Kerns passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the age of 90. Born in Denver Township, Michigan, on February 27, 1934,
A lifelong Michigan resident, Aden was a devoted husband to Julie and leaves behind a lasting legacy through his daughter, Heide, his granddaughter Elisabeth, and two cherished great-granddaughters, Lillie and Alexis. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. Aden was preceded in death by his parents, Aden John Kerns and Ruth Barnett, his son, Aden John Arno Kerns, and his siblings: Mildred "Mickey" Tyler, Virginia Keenan, Kathy Vanopynen, Edward Kerns, Harriet Converse, and Polly Neuhaus.
As a child, Aden lost his ability to communicate due to scarlet fever and chickenpox. He worked relentlessly to regain his speech. Aden's determination led to his gift of gab, a trait he carried with him throughout his life. Aden never met a stranger and was blessed to have more friends than most will ever know.
After proudly serving his country in the United States Army, Aden transitioned into civilian life as a self-employed coin dealer and antique seller. His passion for coins and antiques not only became a Lifelong career but also inspired countless others to follow in his footsteps. Aden was deeply involved in the numismatic community and was a proud 60+ year member of the Michigan State Numismatic Society and member of the Michigan Token and Medal Society.
Beyond his professional life, Aden was a member of several organizations. He enjoyed his time at the Grand Haven American Legion Post, was a life member of the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555, and a member of the Eagles in Charlotte.
Aden had a love for high school and college sports. He was always on the go; having many adventures all around the world. Aden led a life filled with wonder, passion and curiosity. and unwavering commitment to his family and community and always gave when needed.

Family, friends, and those whose lives Aden touched are invited to celebrate his life at a funeral service held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 1:15 PM at Crandell Funeral Homes Inc in Fremont, MI, officiated by Curtis Chaffee. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at 2:30 PM at Fremont Maple Grove Cemetery.
