Alan J. Mather, age 56 of White Cloud, formerly of Grand Blanc, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at his home. Alan was born on October 5, 1958 to Kendall L. and Isabel M. (Heenan) Mather and later married Susan Anderson on June 24, 1977 in Grand Blanc. Alan started work at the General Motors Fisher Plant in 1977 and later retired from the Flint Truck Plant in 2008 after 31 years. Alan and Susan moved to the White Cloud area on a permanent basis in 2013 but had spent many summers in the area prior. Alan enjoyed the Michigan outdoors, feeding the birds and animals in his yard; was an avid N Scale model train builder; enjoyed working on his own cars and riding motorcycles. Alan was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud. Alan is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan of White Cloud; his son and daughter-in-law, Joe (Sarah) Mather of Burton; his grandchildren, Zoie, Skylar and due in May 2015, Rebecca Lynn; his brothers, Robert (Doris) Mather of Grand Blanc; Richard (Millie) Mather of Linden; his father and mother-in-laws, Larry and Carole Anderson of Newaygo; many nieces, nephews and cousins. VISITATION : Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 3-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home FREMONT CHAPEL (note location 7193 W 48th Street Fremont, MI 49412) and Monday, February 2, 2015 from 10:30-12pm at the Christ Lutheran Church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday at 12pm at the Christ Lutheran Church 701 S Evergreen White Cloud, Michigan 49349. GRAVESIDE SERVICES : Tuesday at 1pm at the Maple Gibson Cemetery in Grand Blanc.
