Alburn Schaefer, age 100 of White Cloud, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont following surgery. Alburn was born on March 10, 1908 in Chicago and later married Mildred Katusky. Mildred passed away on July 8, 1993. Alburn had been a truck driver at Gilliland Transfer in Fremont until his retirement. He is survived by his sons, Charles Schaefer of Michigan; Ronald Schaefer of Wisconsin; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Beverly June Taylor in 2001 and Evelena E. Blank in 1996. Cremation will take place with memorial services to be held at a later time.
