Alfred J. "Al" Webster Jr., age 80 of Fremont, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at the Corewell Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont. Al was born on January 1, 1943 in Fremont to Alfred James and Bonnie B. (Bushen) Webster and graduated from Fremont High School in 1962. Al met and later married Mary Jane Holmes on December 28, 1963 in Muskegon and Mary preceded him in death on October 18, 2018. Al has been a lifelong resident of Fremont and had been a flea market vendor and operated a carnival concession stand for several years. Al enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, was an avid collector of various items, had enjoyed automotive body work and attending steam and gas engine shows. Al is survived by his children, May (Robert) Wojahn of Fremont; Shelly (Jeff) Dunbar of Fremont; James Webster of Mt. Morris, Michigan; special friend, Sue Balahoski of Twin Lake; his grandchildren, Jeremy Ditzler; Dustin Baker; Naomi (Matt) Whitlatch; Tara Baker; Holly Wojahn; 10 great grandchildren. Al was preceded in death by his wife, Mary and his parents, Alfred and Bonnie Webster.
