Alice Marie (Buttleman) Maike, 59, of White Cloud, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, after her short battle with cancer. Alice was born in Hart, Michigan to Jack and Ellen (Getz) Buttleman on August 30, 1961 and was a lifelong White Cloud resident. She married Thomas J. Maike on September 3, 1983 in White Cloud, Michigan. She worked at Woods and Waters Resort for several years and made many friendships there before leaving in 2003 to work at Handy Wacks of Sparta. Alice is known for her excellent bargain shopping and countless amazing crafting talents, including beautiful baby blankets that she and her mother gifted and donated over the years. She cherished her time spent with friends and family. Alice is survived by her husband, Tom; her children, Michael Maike of Hesperia and Amy (Josh) Stockwell of White Cloud; her pride and joy in life: her grandsons, Prestin Maike of Ft. Gordon Augusta, Georgia and Jacob and Jared Stockwell of White Cloud; her mother, Ellen Buttleman; her brother, James Buttleman; her sister, Mary Brown; her sister-in-law, Bonnie Buttleman; mother-in-law, Pauline Brinks; and brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law; Pam (Bill) Bender, Luann (Duane) Cruzan, Theresa (Barry) LaCourse, John Maike, Mike (Cyndi) Maike, Gary (Deanna) Maike, Mary (Gordy) Lubbers, Christine (Dale) Simmons, Joe (Danielle) Maike, Sally (Herb) Waldroup, Lisa (Jeff) Burkhardt, Greg Maike; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends, especially her close friend, Carla Lovley. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Buttleman; her brother, John Buttleman; her half siblings, Rick Buttleman and Roxanne Buttleman; her fathers-in-law, Thomas E. Maike and James Brinks; her sisters-in-law, Angie Buttleman and RoseMarie Maike; and her granddog, Allie Mae.
