Alice H. Jamieson, age 90 of White Cloud, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Alice was born on July 5, 1924 in Grand Rapids to Henry and Alice (Joppee) DeVries and later married Harold Jamieson on February 12, 1946 in Niles, Michigan. Harold preceded her in death on January 8, 2004. Alice has been a longtime resident of the Diamond Lake area and had worked telephone operator, clerk at Herpolsheimer's, a nurses aid in the pediatrics department and later retired as a certified operating room nurse at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids in 1982. Alice was a member of the White Cloud United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing, sewing, camping, taking Sunday drives and boat rides. Alice was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alice is survived by her children, Jean (Charles) Klemundt of White Cloud; Jim (Wendie) Jamieson of Kentwood; John (Elaine) Jamieson of Fremont; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her brother, John DeVries of Fremont. Alice was preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle Jamieson. VISITATION: Friday, December 19, 2014 from 11-1pm at the White Cloud United Methodist Church (1125 Newell Street) with FUNERAL SERVICES at 1pm at the White Cloud United Methodist Church.
