Alice May Johnson, age 82, of Bitely, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at her home. She was born on August 19, 1928, in Grand Rapids to Orville and Reva (Brailey) Ranes and had worked at Orida and Wolverine Worldwide in Greenville. Alice married Chuck Sly and later married Ed Johnson both preceding her in death. Alice enjoyed her cat and gardening, and watching and feeding her birds. Alice is survived by her children, Terri Dykhouse of Bitely, Connie (Jerry) Main of Lakeview, Kathy Davis of McBride, Chuck (Brenda) Sly of West Virginia, Gloria (Dave) Clevenger of White Cloud, Frances Badder of Palo, Lilian Barker of Connecticut, and Rose (Phillip) Raap of Fenwick; 25 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; brother and sisters, Robertl Ranes, Marian Coons, and Jenny Burrows; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grand daughters, Monica Raap and Patty Raap; and brothers, Earl Ranes and Albert Ranes. FUNERAL SERVICES : 1 pm, Friday, February 11, 2011, at the Amazing Grace Acres Church in Bitley. VISITATION: Friday from 11 am to 1 pm at the Church.
