Alice J. Schneider, age 66 of Holton, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at her home following a short illness. Alice was born on March 9, 1945 in Manistee to Alva and Edna May (Sikorski) Rinard and has been a resident of the Holton area since 1979 when she moved from Lakewood, Michigan. Alice had been a nurses aid at University Park Nursing Center for several years until her retirement. Alice was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and enjoyed attending events within the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. Alice also enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and her dogs, Dinkie and Spunk. Alice is survived by her children, George Schneider Jr. of Arkansas; Dale Schneider of Holton; Wayne Schneider of Holton; Heidi Bradley of Beckley, West Virginia; Kimberly Schneider of North Royalton, Ohio; Annette Schneider of Holton; Tony Schneider of Detroit, Michigan; 7 grandchildren, Joshua Schneider; Nicholas Bradley; Harley Bradley; Makayla McLaughlin; Michael McLaughlin; Hailey Murphy; Jason Replogle; her mother, Edna Rinard of Holton; sisters and brother, Judy Snow of Walkerville; Darlene Short of Holton; Alva Rinard; and Karen Alther. Alice was preceded in death by her father, Alva Rinard; her sisters, Janice Rinard, and Martha Denman. VISITATION : Monday, November 14, 2011 from 1-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
