Alice G. Skeen, age 71 of Fremont, formerly of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Regency Nursing Facility in Fremont. Alice was born on August 1, 1950 in Kalamazoo to Percy and Mattie (Alvey) Crawford and graduated from Colon High School. Alice later met and married Michael Skeen and Michael preceded her in death. Alice had been a longtime resident of the Three Rivers area where she was a homemaker and moved to Fremont in 2020 to be closer to her daughter. Alice enjoyed shooting and playing pool, taking walks with her grandchildren; dancing, listening to music, and most recently watching movies and eating popcorn. Alice is survived by her children, Annie (significant other, Steve Sears) Hyde of White Cloud; Michael (Angela) Skeen of Three Rivers; Percy Alvey of White Pigeon; her grandchildren, Damian, Dakota, Savannah, Isaac, Alice, Anna, Scott, Tiffany, and Jami; her sisters and brother, Dorothy, Billy, and Modena. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; her daughter, Katina Alvey; her parents, Percy and Mattie Crawford; 7 brothers and sisters; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Skeen, whom she had taken care of prior to her passing. Services are pending at this time and will be held in Three Rivers, Michigan. Interment will take place next to her husband Michael at the Prairie River Cemetery in Centreville, Michigan.
