Alice M. Smith, age 76 of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her home. Alice was born on May 1, 1935 in Goodwell Township to Frank and Nellie (Stubbs) Harris and graduated from White Cloud High Scholl in 1953. Alice later married Ted Smith on February 25, 1957 in Muskegon. Alice moved back to the White Cloud area in 1977 from Muskegon and had worked as the manager of the White Cloud Laundromat for many years. Alice enjoyed working at her job, crocheting, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, and especially enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family. Alice is survived by her husband, Ted of White Cloud; her sister, Pearl Maus of Big Rapids; brothers, Russell Harris of White Cloud; Charles Harris of Newaygo; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Tucker & Fern Wolever; brothers, John & Wilbur Harris. VISITATION : Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 6-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Goodwell Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : The Smith family to assist with expenses.
