Alice Wilkinson, age 90, of Marne and formerly of Fremont passed away Sunday, September 10, 2000, at the Birchwood Care Center in Marne. She was born on June 15, 1910, in Oceana County to Arthur J. and Ermina ( Lillie) Howard. She worked at Ben Franklin Variety Store in Fremont for many years and was a former member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Fremont. She is survived by her son David (Judy) Wilkinson of Sand Lake; 2 grandchildren; and nephews Lynn (Pat) Frede and Jay Dean of Grand Rapids. Visitation was Thursday, September 14, 2000, from 12 1 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont. Graveside services were at 1 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery with Rev. David Dickinson officiating. Friends are asked to consider the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ Building Fund for a more lasting memorial.
