Alicia Hernandez Andrade, age 81, of Muskegon went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 18, 2017. Alicia was born on March 30, 1936, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Gilberto and Maria Eugenia (Olivares) Hernandez. Alicia married John Martinez Andrade on December 9, 1967, in Hart, Michigan, and dedicated her life to raising and loving her family. She enjoyed sewing, coloring, watching novelas, and cooking for her family. She is described as the glue that held everyone together. Alicia attended the Christian Life Center in Fremont.

Alicia is survived by her husband, John; children, Maria Eugenia Andrade (Neal) Tedford of Fremont, Adelina "Nina" (John) Anthony of Fremont, Joe Luis (Danicia Boyd) Andrade of Muskegon, and John Dean (Rheannon) Andrade of Muskegon; 16 grandchildren, Jeremy Steven Anthony, Sandy Alicia Anthony, Enrique Scott Griswold, Nina Johna Anthony, Nathanael Troy Tedford, Sandriana Elaina Andrade, Preston John Anthony, Ethan Andreas Tedford, Salaihah Kae-Lee Andrade, Arryannah Angelita Boyd Andrade, Mia May Merritt, Alysiah Yvonne Andrade, Alyviah DeAndra Andrade, Adena Maria Tedford, John Shilah Shiye Andrade, and Jadaziah Anavay Andrade; 6 great-grandchildren, Avayah Anthony, Blake Chester, Karlo Rafferty, Brantley Anderson, Elijah Andrade Jackson, and Kyler Chester; brothers, Gilberto Hernandez and Armando Hernandez. She was preceded by her son, Rogelio Hernandez Andrade and brothers Francisco Hernandez and Santos Hernandez.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at the Christian Life Center in Fremont with Pastor Neal Tedford officiating. There will be visitation at the Church prior to the service from 10 AM – 12 PM. Interment will be at 10 AM, on Thursday, August 24, 2017, in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Muskegon.
