Lummen, Aliene J. Aliene June Lummen, age 91 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Fremont, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2004 at her home in Grand Rapids. Aliene was born on July 3, 1913 in Fremont to Fred and Nellie (VanHemert) Bultman and married Arie Lummen on Oct. 8, 1936 in Fremont. Arie preceded her in death on April 19, 1999. She has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area where she was a member of the 2nd Christian Reformed Church where she taught Sunday School for many years; was a member of the Helping Hand Society; a member of the Golden Ora Club for 54 years; and volunteered with the Gray Ladies at Gerber Memorial Health Services for 13 years. She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Schuiteman of VanBuren, Indiana; Mary (Leonard) Stouten of Grand Rapids; Arlene (Wesley) Roedema of Grand Rapids; 9 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; her brothers, Gerald (Ruth) Bultman of Tucson, Arizona; Rev. Fred (Linda) Bultman of Grand Rapids; Rev. Allen (Betty) Bultman of Grand Rapids; Rev. Joe (Mildred) Beckering of Fremont; Ray (Nora) Somers of Fremont; Marvin (Doris) Luchies of Fremont. She was preceded in death by one great grandchild; her brother, Ron Bultman and her son-in-law, Edsel Schuiteman. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 26, 2004 from the Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with Rev. Dale Schuiteman of the Twin City Bible Baptist Church of Marian, Indiana presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
