Allen L. Fry Sr., age 82 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at his home following a lingering illness. Al was born on September 4, 1930 in Fremont to Louis and Eliane (McKinley) Fry and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1948. Al married Jeri Lynn Thurow on September 5, 1966 in White Cloud and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area. Al started work at the Newaygo County Road Commission and retired as a foreman in 1986 after 31 years. Al had been active in civic duties within the White Cloud community where he served on the White Cloud City Council for 3 terms, served on the White Cloud Fire Department, had served as Master of the White Cloud Masonic Lodge in 1968-1969 and attended the White Cloud United Methodist Church. Al had enjoyed fishing and hunting, bowling, golfing. Al was a member of the White Cloud V.F.W. and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. SURVIVORS : his wife of 47 years, Jeri of White Cloud; his children, Jim (Jodie) Fry of Redmond, Washington; Allen (Mary) Fry Jr. of Wilmington, New York; Kim (Chris) Thull of Putnam, Connecticut; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Fred) Anderson; Jason Fry, Jon Fry; Abby (Mike) Hollinhead; Sawyer Thull; 4 great grandchildren; his sister, Lois Dunham of Greenville; his brother, Ellis (Dorothy) Fry of White Cloud. VISITATION : Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 2 4 & 6 -8 at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. MEMORIAL SERVICES : Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11am at the White Cloud United Methodist Church.
