Allen J. Lovell, age 68 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Grand Rapids following declining health. Allen was born on September 27, 1945 in Goodwell Township to Lyle R. and Martha (Timmreck) Lovell, graduated from White Cloud High School and later received a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Allen married Cornelia "Connie" VandenBerg on November 7, 1970 in White Cloud and had been a project manager in commercial utility construction for many years in Arizona and California until his retirement in 2004. Allen and Connie moved back to White Cloud in 2010, where they were members of Christ Lutheran Church. Allen had enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, traveling and had enjoyed dancing in his younger years. Allen had a fondness for dogs and has always had one or two in his home throughout his lifetime.

Allen is survived by his wife, Connie of White Cloud; his children, Stephanie (Melvin) Lewis of Whitehall; Vaughn Lovell of White Cloud; his granddaughters, Kendra and Lynette; his great grand daughter, Layla; his brother, Stanley (Rosalie) Lovell of White Cloud; his sister, Colleen (Jerry) Stroven of White Cloud; sister's-in-laws, Barb Lovell; Beth (Tom) VanWeelde; Norma VandenBerg; brothers-in-laws, Richard (Nancy) VandenBerg; Gary (Evy) VandenBerg; Leslie (Alice) VandenBerg; Vern (Anne) VandenBerg; Tim (Brenda) VandenBerg; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Allen was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Felecia and his brother, Clayton Lovell. VISITATION : Monday, March 31, 2014 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11am at Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud. INTERMENT : Goodwell Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Christ Lutheran Church.
