Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Zerlaut, who left this world peacefully on June 10, 2025, at the age of 71.

Bruce was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and a cherished friend to many.

He is survived by his beloved wife Connie, and their children: Tiffany (Jamie) Dobberstein, Sair (Josh) Dodson, Trisha (Adam) Croff, Evelynn Morse, Seth (Kristy) Zerlaut, Kristen (Jon) Soloway and by his former wife, Darlene (Gerard) Sommer.   Bruce was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought joy to his life and carry a piece of his gentle spirit.

Bruce is also survived by his aunts, Susan (Zerlaut) King and Jennifer Zerlaut; his siblings: Myrna (Ray) Brenner, Laura Zerlaut, Stephen (Robin) Zerlaut, and Mac Zerlaut; his in-laws Bonnie (Patrick) Rettkowski, Peter (Kelly) Pedersen, Gary (Lora) Pedersen and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Proceeding him in death are his parents, Allen and Marjorie; his grandparents, Harold and Grace Zerlaut, Bruce and Margaret McDonald; his in-laws, Elaine and Jesse Getz, Victor Pedersen, Peggy (Patton) Pedersen, his brother-in-law, Victor E. Pedersen, and sister-in-law, Kris (Patton) Knowles.  His bonds with them, as a family, were one of lasting love and support.  Bruce cherished the memories they made together throughout his life.

A man of deep Christian faith, Bruce believed in the promise of eternal life and carried his convictions quietly but firmly. Those who knew him will remember his kind heart, humble nature, and wise counsel. Soft-spoken yet strong, Bruce was the sort of man whose presence made those around him feel valued and at ease.
