Dawson, Alma Klein Alma Klein Dawson, age 91 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday at the Fountain View Retirement Village in Fremont. She was born on October 29, 1913 in White Cloud to Nicholas and Thecla (Zabel) Auw and later married Dan Klein on June 10, 1936 and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1982. She later met and married Herman Dawson in 1985. She had been the City Clerk for the City of White Cloud for several years and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. SURVIVORS : Herman Dawson of Florida; her children, Barbara Anne (Richard) Peterson of Edina, MN; Thomas (Dianna) Klein of Crestwood, IL; Mary Emerson of Traverse City; Evelyn Ricki (Howard) Singer of Ridgefield, CT; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her brother, Robert Auw of White Cloud. Preceded in death by her son, Daniel Klein Jr. in 2004; her brother, Donald & Raymond Auw; her sisters, Florence Whalen & Grace Purtee. Funeral services were held on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud with interment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
