Alma H. (Meeuwenberg) Dyer age 77 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. She was born on March 6, 1927 in Fremont to Henry D. and Dena (Bode) Meeuwenberg. She has been a lifelong resident of the Newaygo County area and moved to White Cloud from Fremont 34 years ago. She had worked at Gerber Products from 1946-1956 and then started work at the White Cloud Public Schools where she was the Head Cook 21 years until her retirement. She later became active in the Foster Grandparent Program for the Catholic Human Development Outreach. She is survived by her children, Darlene (Carl) Westcomb of White Cloud; Gloria Silverthorne of White Cloud; Pamela (Andy) Newfer of White Cloud; Ricky Smith of Muskegon; Allen (Vicki) Smith of Tennessee; Brenda Schoenherr of White Cloud; Tina (Gary) Daniels of Maryland; 23 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 3, 2004 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Charles Jones presiding with interment in the Sherman Township Cemetery.
