Webster, Alta J. Alta J. Webster, age 81 of Englewood, Florida, formerly of Fremont, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Venice Regional Medical Center in Englewood, Florida. Alta was born on June 1, 1924 in Fremont to John Ellis and Gladys Estelle (Cochrane) Webster. She attended and graduated from Central Michigan University in 1946 with a Bachelors Degree and then attended and graduated from the University of Michigan where she received her Masters Degree in Education in 1952 and then received her Masters Degree in Library Science in 1971. She had been a teacher and librarian at the Lansing Public Schools for 25 years until her retirement and then moved to the Englewood, Florida area in 1980. She is survived by her sister, Leila Williamson of Cedar Springs; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Cloyce Webster; Lloyd Webster.
