Love, Sam & Becky Coburn Jennifer & Todd Czarnopys Justin & Melanie Coburn Posted 11/16/07 Dear Jan and girls; Al Sr, Nancy, Sharon & Fred; As you know, Alvin and I were friends since 5th grade. Our friendship grew over the following years as locker partners in middle school/H.S. and all those grueling practices on the Orchard View football teams; 7th-10th grades; the years that we worked together at the gun club pulling clay targets, mowing grass in summers and shoveling sidewalks in winters; hunting behind Al and Flossies house with Tramp; walking down Milliron Rd. to Muskegon River and diving from the bank into the cold rushing current; riding our bikes many places- even out to the lighthouse at Pere Marquette Park at Lake Michigan. (We actually road out the pier even though the waves, that day, were crashing over the pier wall!) Memories of the year I lived with your family during 10th grade will be with me always, also. Of course there was no one else I could ask to be my Best-Man than Alvin; and was delighted to be his ! The times that we were together during the ensuing years, although not as many as they could have been, were memorable- it is always great to be with your best friend in the world. I will never forget him, will always miss him, will always love you all. Wayne Joseph Posted 11/19/07 JAN AND FAMILY Our deepest sympathy to you and yours. What wonderful memories you all have of a special and wonderful man !! I don't think of anyone who could say an unkind work about Al he was a great Boss and a person we really respected . I know we will all miss him. They say there is a reason for everything but sometimes it is hard to understand especially when something like this happens to such a wonderful family.. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS AND HEARTS. The Knapp Family Posted 11/19/07 Jan and Family, My thought and prayers are with you and your family now and in the months ahead. I hadn't heard that Al was sick so I was very surprised when I found out via the paper. It is good that your have your kids and grandchildren in town. You will be a great comfort to each other. God Bless all of you. Jill (Machovsky) Mastee Posted 11/19/07 Janet & Family, We're sorry to hear about Al's passing away. We'll keep you in our prayers. God grant you peace. Phyllis & Gary Lattin Posted 11/19/07 Stacy and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I did not know your dad, but knowing you I could feel the love you all have for each other. Rely on that love now to see each other through the loss of this wonderful person that was in your lives. I lost my brother-in-law several years ago to cancer so I understand. Carol Cruzan Posted 11/19/07 Aunt Jan, Stacy, Gary, Monica, Jami and kids, Someone said that my Uncle Al was a gentleman. I believe that to be true, but more than that his soft spoken, gentle ways touch our hearts forever. Its not often in the world today you run in to someone wanting to reach out to any in need making their life a better place. Always taking time to listen if you called, never judging, always encouraging, with a spark that glistened in his eye when he smiled to let you know it would all work out. Aunt Jan, together you and Uncle Al brought a beautiful, honorable family together. I am now and have always been proud and felt very blessed to call you all family. I'm only a phone call away if there is any need I can fill. I love you all. Hang tough, Cindy Posted 11/19/07 Janet, Stacy, Monica and family, We wish to convey our deepest sympathy. We sincerely hope you can hold your precious memories close to you, and that you will receive comfort and peace in the days and weeks ahead from these memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, wish we could be there in person to supply the hugs! Love, The Ayers family, Mike, Karen, Nate and Kaitlyn Posted 11/19/07 Dear Family, It has been many years since I last saw Alvin, im a cousin, Richard Ruel. My Grandma was Flossie Welch, i am sorry for your loss. It seems the good die young, but we must celebrate his life and pray he is in a better place. My family and I send you our prayers and hope you can find peace. God Bless You and Your Family, Richard E. Ruel and Family Posted 11/19/07 Janet, God, how the time gets away from you. I just learned last week that Alvin was waging the fight of his life. That news made me spend the last week remembering you two and how special you always were together. Was there ever a more handsome couple You were so fair and pretty, and Alvin so dark and handsome. But, the beauty wasn't just in how you looked...it was how you were together. So fun, so nice, so loving and open to life. You two set the bar pretty high. I have learned that you had a lovely family and a fulfilling life together, but of course it's never long enough. Not when it's right. I'm so happy to have seen your beginning, and now to learn your life together was so full. No words can ever bring you comfort, but maybe with time will come peace. Thinking of you and your family with heartfelt sympathy and love, Nancy Fetters-Beach Posted 11/19/07 Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family The staff of Hi-Lites Graphics, Inc Posted 11/21/07 Janet: Please accept my most sincere condolences on Mr. Chandonnets passing.
