Obituary

Amos R. Vanderboegh, age 89 of Holton, passed away Sunday evening, December 3, 2000 at the Mercy General Hospital in Muskegon. He was born on May 20, 1911 in Cedar Creek Township to Andson Cornelius and Lois Lucinda (Parker) Vanderboegh and married Edith Verna Medburg on November 3, 1937 in Indiana. He has been a resident of the Holton area since 1946 and had been a airplane mechanic for Teledyne Continental Motors Company in Muskegon until his retirement in 1970. He was a member of the Holton United Methodist Church and was the last surviving founding member of the Holton Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Edith of Holton; daughter, Joanne (Ronald F.) Dalton of Perry, Florida; sons, Ronald (Zola) Vanderboegh of Twin Lake; Jack (Julie) Vanderboegh of Twin Lake; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Jibson of Fremont; brother, Daniel A. Vanderboegh of Fruitport. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 1pm from the Holton United Methodist Church with interment in Oakwood Cemetery - Holton.
