Amy I. Vicky Cross, age 87 of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont. Vicky was born on March 22, 1923 in Ocean Falls, British Columbia, Canada to Wilgodt and Leona (Morgan) Erickson and moved to the Oakland, California Bay area at the age of 7. She graduated from Fremont High School in Fremont, California and later met and married Ralph Cross on April 2, 1949 in the Oakland, California area. Vicky and Ralph moved with Ralphs work to Rochester, New York; Fort Smith, Arkansas and eventually to Fremont in 1970. Vicky had been a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Fremont and was past president and past member of HAGS of Gerber Memorial Hospital. Vicky was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, her cats and playing bridge in her younger years. Vicky is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph of Fremont; her daughters, Mary Ann (Douglas) Kline of Flint; Nancy L. Cross of Indianapolis, Indiana; Elizabeth J. Cross (Jon Jaffe) of Seattle, Washington; her grandchildren, Jon Kline, Sarah Kline, Megan Kline, Andrea Padilla, Erin Romer; Alex Cross Ruppert; Nicholas Cross Ruppert; her great grand son, Julien. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Merle V. Douglas; her sister, Carol; and by her brother, William.
