Andrea M. Soward, age 38 of Detroit, formerly of Woodland Park, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Detroit. Andrea was born on January 7, 1982 in Big Rapids to Lee Roy and Victoria Soward and grew up in the Woodland Park area until she moved to the Detroit area in 2018. Andrea had been a home health aide for several years and was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland Park where she had sang in the choir and generally enjoyed singing overall. Andrea is survived by her children, Jacob Soward of Marshall; Honesty Soward of Walker; Sonythia Johnson of Marshall; her mother, Victoria Hutchins of Idlewild; her father, Leroy (Carmen) Soward of Woodland Park; her maternal grandmother, Rosemary Hutchins of Royal Oak; her sister and 2 brothers, Sherry Soward of Lansing; Aaron Lee Hutchins of Texas; Anthony Soward of Idlewild; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Special thanks to Andrea's aunt, Rebecca Hutchins, pallbearers, Rev. Duane Jake Roberts for all their assistance during the families time of loss.
