Andy W. Anderson III, age 58, of Fremont died on Friday, January 17, 2003 , at Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont . He was born on February 12, 1944 , in National City , California , to Andy T. and Doris Ann (Thomas) Anderson and married Kristine M. Seyferth on July 28, 1973 , in Wyoming , Michigan . He owned and operated Fremont Gravel Excavating Contractors and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #324. Andy was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Marines and a life member of the Newaygo Sportsmans VFW Post # 4249. He was instrumental in getting the softball fields built at the Fremont Middle School and sponsored numerous softball teams in the county. Andy is survived by his loving wife Kristine of Fremont; children, Jamie Ann Marie Anderson of Grand Rapids, Brooke Ellen (Scott) Bradley of Fremont, Nick Anderson of Fremont, and Jon (Heather) Neil of Caledonia; 4 grandchildren, Dylan Reice MacDonald, Jakob Scott Bradley, Cara Ann Bradley, and Adrian Kristine Marie Anderson; brother, David T. (Carol) Anderson of Newaygo; and nephews, Jason Thomas and Kelsey Cornell. Services remembering Andys life were held on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 , at 2 p.m. from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont .
