Anita Marie Scott, age 88, of Fremont went home to be with her Savior on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Trinity Health Mercy in Muskegon. Anita was born on December 22, 1934, in Muskegon to Wallace Wendell and Leona (Castle) Inman and married Harold Maynard Scott on June 16, 1956, in Muskegon. Anita was a licensed Cosmetologist and also had a licensed foster care home and cared for many foster care children throughout the years. Anita attended several Churches of Christ including the Ashland Center Church of Christ in Grant, Countryside Church of Christ in Hesperia, Northland Church of Christ in Grant, and Making Timothies Christian Church in Grant. Anita is survived by her children, Melissa Kathleen Yell-Delong of Fremont, Steven Harold Scott of Fremont, and Tabitha (Derek) Hartger of Fremont; grandchildren, Stephanie Scott, Michael (Alisha Baron) Yell, Kevin (Laura Ray) Yell, Kathleen (Wesley) Broughfman, Jacob (Taylor) Scott, Ashley (Kevin Peets) Scott, Aaron Scott, Nicole Hartger, and Nathaniel Hartger; great-grandchildren, Nolyn Yell, Jadalynn Broughfman, Abigail Broughfman, Connor Broughfman, Jesse Broughfman, Wesley Broughfman Jr., Elijah Scott, Scarlet Scott, Jacob Scott Jr., and Isabelle Peets; sisters, Nancily Ake and Viola "Mikie" (Ron) Scott; many special friends including, Greg and Penny Fairchild, Betty Hicks, Shaune Hamilton, and Canrad and Eileen Daniels. She was preceded by her in-laws, Francis Lyle and Alida Scott. Graveside services will be held at 12 PM noon on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Bridgeton Township Cemetery with a luncheon to follow.
