Anna Jordan, age 89 of Fremont, formerly of Grant, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Anna was born on September 28, 1926 in Chicago to Arvid and Bertha M. (Crofoot) Sahlin and married David E. Buck Jordan on August 30, 1946 in Grant. Buck preceded her in death on January 29, 2010. Anna graduated from Grant High School as Salutatorian in 1944 and has been a longtime resident of the area where she had been a telephone operator and later worked as a retail clerk. Anna had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star #530 where she had been Past Worthy Matron, had enjoyed reading and golfing. Anna was a member of the Northland Church of Christ in Grant. Anna is survived by her daughters, Sally Ann Jordan of Fremont; Marjorie L. (David) Ekkel of Fremont; her grandchildren, Chad (Melinda) Ekkel; Lisa (Mitchell) Erickson; Murry Dayton Stocking; her great grandchildren, Ethan Ekkel; Makayla Ekkel, Seth Ekkel, Jillian Erickson; Cole Erickson; Murry David Jimenez; 5 step great grandchildren; special friend, Ellen Tibbe of Grant. Anna was preceded in death by her sisters, Gertrude Way and Ella Sherwood; her nephew, Steven Neidhart. VISITATION : Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 1-2pm at the Northland Church of Christ (9891 Mason Dr, Grant, MI 49327) MEMORIAL SERVICES : Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2pm at the Northland Church of Christ. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : to the Jordan family for a memorial to be established later.
