Anne Byl, age 96 of White Cloud, formerly of Jenison and West Germany, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Anne was born on October 11, 1919 in West Germany and later married Peter Byl. Peter preceded her in death in 1973. Anne and Peter immigrated to the United States from Germany and eventually made their home in Jenison and had retirement cottage near Hardy Dam where they planned to spend their retirement years. Anne has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the past 40 years when she moved from Jenison and had worked at White Cloud Products for a short period of time and then started work in the medical billing for Dr. Deur, Dr. Kirchaine and Dr. Gunnell in Grant until her retirement after 70. Anne had enjoyed fishing with her father in Germany in her younger years and had fond memories of bicycle and fishing trips with him. Anne is survived by her son, Pete (Cheri) Byl of White Cloud; her grandchildren, Alex, Amy and Raymond. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beatrice Tracy Byl in 1997. Graveside services will be held at the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery at 2 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2016.
