Anthony F. Moon, age 80 of Hesperia, went to be with His Lord on Monday, November 8, 2004 at his home following a short illness. He was born on June 9, 1924 in Owosso to William and Marcella (Zoldak) Moon and married Loretta Dorr on August 22, 1959 at Holy Name Church in Grand Rapids. Tony has been a longtime resident of the Hesperia area and had worked at the Teledyne Continental Motors Company as a machinist until his retirement on October 29, 1982. He was an active parishioner at Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia. Tony enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and tinkering on his farm. He was a member of the Hesperia American Legion and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He will be remembered for his endless love, kindness, and the smiles he brought to all he knew. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Loretta of Hesperia; his children, Cheryl (Rodney) Miller of Hesperia; Tony (Rosemary) Moon of Saranac; Marie Moon of Atlanta, Georgia; 4 grandchildren, Wesley Miller; JenaLee Miller; Katelyn Craner; Sally Jo Moon; his sisters and brothers, Joseph Moon of Fremont; Julia Champion of Howard City; Margaret Kaley of Ocala, FL; Lloyd (Beverly) Moon of Hesperia; his sister-in-law, Barbara Moon of North Muskegon. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Marie Moon in 1964; his brothers, John Moon and William Moon and by his sisters, Lucille Dickinson and Mary Williams. Funeral Mass services were held on Friday, November 12, 2004 at the Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia with Rev. Father Mike Alber presiding with interment in the Christ The King Catholic Cemetery in Hesperia.
