Archie Robert Welch, age 50 of Hesperia, passed away Saturday following injuries received in a motorcycle accident near his home. Archie was born on Dec. 5, 1957 in Manistique, MI to Archie H. and Ruth Arlene (Bancroft) Welch and has been a lifelong resident of the Hesperia area. Archie had worked as a millwright for Howmet Corp. until a disability forced him to retire in 2002. Archie married Blinda Morey on July 18, 1997 in White Cloud. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in the Michigan woods, riding his Harley motorcycle and playing with his grandchildren. SURVIVORS : his wife, Blinda of Hesperia; his children, Dustin Welch of Hesperia; Sarah Welch of Holton; step daughter, Mandy Croff of Muskegon; grandchildren, Jullian and Ariana Grant of Muskegon; his mother, Ruth Arlene Welch of Hesperia; father and stepmother, Archie H. (Nina) Welch of Hesperia; sisters, Lisa P. Patton of Holton; Jennene Arlene (John) Wiggins of Virginia; brother, Walter Scott Welch of Hesperia; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
