Arlene Dorothy Johnson, age 87, of Fremont passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Arlene was born on February 4, 1934, in Schenectady, New York, to William and Minnie H. (Phillips) Case and married William Pierce Johnson on September 27, 1952, in Cobleskill, New York. Arlene enjoyed golfing, bowling, word search puzzles, and watching western movies. She took great pride in family and cherished the years raising her children. Arlene is survived by her children, Duane (Lori) Johnson of Fremont, Cynthia (Michael) Self of Arizona, David (Amy) Johnson of Fremont, Timothy (Barbara Walters) Johnson of Grand Rapids, and Christine (Phil DeMars) Cory of Fremont; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Holmes of New York; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 2012, and her sister, Joan Markley. Private graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
