Arlene Kenney, age 69, of Howard City, passed on June 12, 2011, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Arlene was born on December 4, 1941, in Fremont and was the daughter of Elmer and Margaret Olson. Arlene was an administrative assistant for Sub Surface Construction. Arlene married Doug Kenney on July 17, 1976 in Kent City and loved reading, flowers, her pets, and spending time with her family. Arlene is survived by her husband of 35 years, Doug; Children, Cliff (Sharon) Harris of Newaygo, Mark (Kim) Harris of Grant, and Aaron Kenney of Howard City; 5 grandchildren, Jessica (Jon) Malenowski, Samantha Harris, Megan Conrad, Jacob Harris, and Michaela Harris; sisters, Dee (John) Rynberg of Fremont and Rosemary Schnake of Howell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents in 1993 and brother Donald Groenendal in 2008. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 8 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastors Daniel Staples and John Dawson officiating.
