Arlene L. Wright, age 89 of Muskegon, formerly of Lansing, Fremont, and Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Sanctuary at the Oaks in Muskegon. Arlene was born on March 5, 1933 in Grand Ledge to Clarence and Marjorie (Putney) Driscoll and later married Vernon E. Wright on May 28, 1949 in Auburn, Indiana. Vern preceded her in death on July 12, 2014. Arlene had been a homemaker and after they moved to Florida, she and Vern had owned and operated a bicycle shop for 21 years and then moved back to the Muskegon area. She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, boating, bowling, water skiing, camping and traveling in her younger years. Arlene is survived by her children, Marilyn (Michael) Tucker of Twin Lake; Carolyn (Michael) Royston of Lakeview; David (Jane) Wright of Laingsburg, Michigan; son-in-law, Claude Adams of Palmer, Alaska; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Wright; her daughter, Jaquelyn Adams; her sister, Florence Lippert. Private family services will be held at a later date.
