Arlene Ann (Zerlaut) Worthing, age 74 of Twin Lake, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at her home following a lingering illness. Arlene was born on August 13, 1940 in Muskegon to Harold W. and Grace E. (Abbott) Zerlaut and married William Worthing on September 22, 1960 in Muskegon. Arlene graduated from Fremont High School in 1959 and has been a lifelong resident of the Holton and Twin Lake area where she enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and farming. Arlene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fremont. Arlene is survived by her husband of 54 years, William; her children, April (Travis) Leach of Zeeland; Mark (Kathy) Worthing of Handorf, Australia; her grandchildren, Mark D. Lash Jr.; Jonathan A. Lash; William E. (Brittany) Lash; Jamin M. Lash; Dakota Lash; Geoffrey G. Worthing; Chelsa L. Worthing; Caelim A. Worthing; her great grandson, Asher and step great granddaughter, Adrianna; her sister, Susan King of Muskegon, Michigan; her brother, Robert (Jennifer) Zerlaut of Central, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Cedric C. Worthing; her brothers, Allen Zerlaut; Morrie Zerlaut; and sister, Marilyn McCormick. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11am at the First Baptist Church (51 W. Oak Fremont) in Fremont. Interment will take place prior to the services in the Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church in Fremont or Harbor Hospice in memory of Arlene.
