Audie Perkins Audie E. Perkins, age 93 of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2000 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. She was born on September 4, 1906 in Sheridan, Michigan to Amos and Edna (Brightman) Doremire and married Carl Perkins on June 29, 1926. Carl preceded her in death in 1952. She has been a resident of the Fremont area for the past 69 years where she had worked at Chriss Drug Store and Pikharts Store as a sales clerk. She was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church, had been active in the United Methodist Women, was a member of the Foster Grandparents Program, Tyndall Ladies Aide. She is survived by her daughter, Laura (James) Hansen of Fremont; her son, Harold (Mary Jo) Perkins of Ida, Michigan; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. Two daughters, Loretta Russell and Shirley Brookhouse preceded her in death. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 19, 2000 from the Fremont United Methodist Church in Fremont with Rev. Dan Duncan presiding with interment in the Bridgeton Township Cemetery.
