Audrey Leona Atkinson, age 63 of White Cloud and Decatur, passed away peacefully at her home in White Cloud on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Audrey was born on July 27, 1953 in Ann Arbor to Isaac Woodward and Beatrice Catherine (Jacko) Perry. Audrey had been active with the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odowa Indians in Harbor Springs and was proud of her Odawa heritage. Audrey had been a clerk with the Tribal Court Domestic Violence Courts for several years until her retirement. Audrey moved to the White Cloud area in 2014 from Petoskey and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting, weaving, sewing and was creative with all types of arts and crafts. She enjoyed traveling to pow wow's and spending time with her grandchildren.
Audrey is survived by her children, Jennifer (Matthew) Tackett of Elkhart, Indiana; Justin Wickett of Decatur; Julie (Duane) Andersen of Niles; Jessica Wickett of Decatur; Joseph Wickett of Mattawan; Stephanie (Chad) Krueger of Cassopolis; Sarah Jo Schilling of Ypsilanti; 7 grandchildren; her sister, Mary Kathryn Rittase of Decatur; several nieces and nephews. Audrey was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Beebe, Beverly Robinson, Patricia Solloway; her brother, Isaac Perry.
VISITATION : Friday, March 10, 2017 from 1-3:30pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel 1109 Court Street White Cloud MI 49349. FUNERAL SERVICES : Friday, March 10, 2017 at 3:30pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Colbert Cemetery in Strongs, Michigan later in the summer of 2017.
