Barbara Jane Ball, age 76 of Hesperia, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Mercy Health Partners Sherman Campus in Muskegon following a short illness. Barbara was born on June 17, 1945 in Hart, Michigan to John and Virginia (Nicholes) Milner and graduated from Hesperia High School in 1963 and was Homecoming Queen in 1962. She later received her Bachelors Degree from the Muskegon Community College. Barbara worked in the Hesperia Public Schools as an Early Child Development Teacher for 23 years until her retirement in 2003. Barb has been a longtime resident of the Hesperia area where she enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking, going to yard sales, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels at her house, staying active within the Hesperia community but especially treasured the time she spent with her family – playing cards and board games Barbara is survived by her children, Tammy Jones of Muskegon; David (Kristie) Ball of Hesperia; Ashley (Christopher) Mullins of Gowan; Jessie (Jeremy) Gordanier of Hesperia; Breehona Ball of Hesperia; Samantha (Tyler) Maynard of Bitely; Vanessa Peterson of Hesperia; Brianne Peterson of Hesperia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, Bill (Ginny) Milner of Hesperia; her sister-in-law, Joyce Milner of Hesperia. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Teresa Tanner and Yvette Tanner; by her son, Jay Ball; her grandson, Micheal Jones; and by her brother Donald Milner.
